Job Description

Flowtec is partnered is a well-established general contractor based in Troy, MI. In business for over 40 years, they focus on industrial and automotive projects throughout Michigan and the Midwest.

They seek an experienced Project Manager to oversee ground-up and renovation projects within the industrial and automotive sectors. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record managing construction projects from pre-construction through closeout, with strong skills in budgeting, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and client communication.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all phases of construction projects including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and on-site execution.
  • Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Manage project scope, timelines, and costs to ensure successful delivery within budget and schedule.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation including contracts, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and meeting minutes.
  • Conduct regular site visits and safety audits to ensure compliance with company and OSHA standards.
  • Oversee subcontractor performance and ensure high-quality workmanship across all trades.
  • Forecast project needs and proactively address potential issues before they impact the schedule or budget.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide consistent updates to clients and internal leadership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in construction project management, preferably in industrial and/or automotive environments.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and safety regulations.
  • Proficient in construction management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive salary, dependent on experience, between $100,000 - $125,000
  • Profit/Project Based Bonus Structure, circa $15,000 in first year of employment
