Director of Analytics and Reporting, G-III Warehouses

The Director of Analytics and Reporting for Warehouse Operations is responsible for leading the strategy, development, and execution of analytics, reporting, and data management initiatives that drive performance and efficiency across the warehouse and distribution network.

This leader oversees the development of comprehensive data strategies, reporting frameworks, and analytical models to support operational efficiency, inventory optimization, and enhanced customer experience. The role also guides the creation of actionable insights through data modeling, visualization, and performance tracking to support key business decisions. A strong background in supply chain analytics, data governance, and cross-functional leadership is essential.

The Director plays a key leadership role in guiding the analytics team, establishing best practices for data quality and governance, and integrating insights across departments to enhance operational performance and customer outcomes.

This role reports to the VP of Network Strategy and Analytics, who leads a newly formed team focused on accelerating efficiency and driving cross-functional coordination across the organization.

Essential Functions:

Data Management & Governance

  • Oversee the development and execution of data management strategies that ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security across all warehouse operations
  • Define and implement best practices for data governance, data quality, and data integrity
  • Collaborate with IT, Finance, and Operations teams to align data practices with broader business objectives
  • Manage volume capacity planning and provide a comprehensive network overview by analyzing inbound/outbound forecasts, on-hand inventory, and historical data comparisons
  • Evaluate product categories and ship-to locations across various businesses to determine optimal product placement in distribution centers
  • Ensure data integrity and consistency in performance tracking and reporting, provide analysis to identify issues and drive continuous improvement initiatives

Analytics & Reporting

  • Leads the creation of models and visualizations that translate data into actionable insights for warehouse operations and logistics
  • Development of reporting and presentation of data to senior leaders with recommendations of improvement opportunities
  • Design and present performance reporting and improvement recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Develop and manage KPIs and performance reporting frameworks to monitor and drive business goals
  • Oversee the development and delivery of dashboards, recurring reports, and ad-hoc reporting tools to support day-to-day operations

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business Analytics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
  • Demonstrated success leading large-scale, data-driven improvement initiatives in complex operational settings
  • Deep understanding of warehouse processes, distribution networks, and logistics workflows.
  • Proven ability to lead and influence in a matrixed organization, including executive and cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear insights and solutions
  • Skilled in root cause analysis and corrective action planning with a focus on long-term, sustainable improvements

Technical Skills:

  • Expert in developing statistical analyses and creating data visualizations using tools such as Cognos and Tableau
  • Strong expertise in SQL and advanced data querying techniques
  • Working knowledge of Python and R for data analysis and modeling (preferred but not required)
  • Previous experience in optimizing Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, and business intelligence platforms to drive operational efficiency and data-driven decision-making
  • Deep expertise in statistical analysis, advanced forecasting methods, and predictive modeling techniques to uncover insights and drive strategic decisions

  • Broad business perspective and general management capabilities; fluency across all key functions of an omnichannel retail environment
  • Strong financial and operational acumen, including a solid understanding of P&L drivers and cross-functional business levers
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate trends, assess risks, and translate insights into actionable plans
  • Highly organized with strong project management skills; able to manage multiple priorities and initiatives in a dynamic environment
  • Operates with high integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail; capable of working both independently and collaboratively at all levels of the organization
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to engage, develop, and motivate high-performing teams
  • Builds trust through transparency, personal credibility, and consistent delivery of results
  • Combines analytical rigor with creativity; uses data to make informed decisions while encouraging innovative thinking
  • Possesses strong executive presence and communication skills; able to clearly and effectively present complex ideas to diverse audiences

The pay range for this position is: $165,000 -$175,000 per year
