With over 30 years at the forefront of advanced machining, we specialize in Design for Manufacturability and Development services for the medical device industry and are hiring for an Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) Specialist II !

Pay : $62,000-$83,000

Schedule : Monday-Friday 7/8am-4pm

Type : Direct hire

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on EDM machining experience in a precision manufacturing environment.
• Basic knowledge of CAM software and EDM programming concepts is preferred.
• Familiarity with ISO 13485 and/or other regulated manufacturing environments is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC EDM machines to meet production specifications, tolerances, and quality standards.
• Perform basic program edits and offsets at the machine control to ensure dimensional accuracy and process
• stability.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, GD&T, and specifications to determine machining requirements.
• Assist in the development of fixturing, masking, and holding techniques to ensure optimal part orientation and coating coverage when applicable.
• Perform part inspections during and after machining using inspection tools such as microscopes, micrometers, calipers, pin gauges, and comparators.
• Support first article and in-process inspection requirements.
• Maintain accurate job travelers, inspection data, and traceability documentation per ISO 13485 standards.
• Communicate job status, technical issues, and suggestions for process improvement to senior machinists and management.
• Perform routine and preventative maintenance on EDM equipment.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
