The Lead Maintenance Technician will assist the Maintenance Supervisor with the planning and preparation of projects/major repairs, orient and train new and current maintenance personnel, review the work of maintenance employees, and assist technicians as necessary. Additionally, this position will perform highly diversified tasks to install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment.
Qualifications
1. High school diploma, technical college preferred.
2. 2 years Lead Maintenance Tech Experience.
3. Completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience.
4. 6+ years of manufacturing maintenance experience. Advanced electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, fabrication and industrial skills.
5. Demonstrated leadership skills and experience.
Essential Functions
1. Assist the Maintenance Supervisor to coordinate maintenance priorities and projects, obtain necessary supplies, and assess skills needed to complete repairs.
2. Collaborate with team members to coordinate upcoming work priorities and delegate assignments based on team member skills and experience.
3. Teach and guide technicians in all facets of maintenance and projects, as needed.
4. Inspect work performed by maintenance team members.
5. Ensure all maintenance repair work is completed safely, effectively, and in a timely manner.
6. Refer uncommon personnel or technical issues to the supervisor.
7. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
8. Install, maintain, and upgrade production machines and the plant facility’s equipment.
9. Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
10. Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, welding, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.
11. Perform advanced electrical skills including but not limited to troubleshooting and repair/replacement of motors, breakers, drives, PLC’s, wiring systems, etc.
