WHAT : Healthcare Marketing Specialist/Copywriter

WHEN : ASAP, 40 hours/week, 2-3 month contract

WHERE : Remote, MST Hours

Our client, a leading children's hospital within a large enterprise health system, is seeking experienced marketing and content specialists to support a critical initiative focused on enhancing their service line marketing. This is a fast-paced project designed to refine and refresh existing marketing collateral for approximately 10-12 distinct pediatric service lines. The goal is to create compelling, user-centric materials that seamlessly integrate with their digital presence, ultimately improving the overall user experience for patient families and the community.

The Opportunity : We are looking to engage up to three indidividuals to contribute to this vital project. Each marketing specialist will be responsible for 3-4 service lines concurrently, ensuring all service lines are completed within the project timeframe. Responsibilities :

  • Content Development: Write clear, concise, and engaging copy for a variety of print marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, rack cards, and other patient-facing collateral for the children's hospital service lines.
  • User Experience (UX) Focus: Update existing materials and create new content with a strong emphasis on user-friendliness and accessibility, ensuring information is easy to understand and navigate for diverse audiences.
  • Digital Alignment: Collaborate to ensure consistency and seamless integration between print materials and the children's hospital website, enhancing the overall patient journey and user experience across platforms.
  • Brand Voice & Compliance: Adhere to established brand guidelines, clinical accuracy, and healthcare regulatory standards in all content creation.
  • Collaboration: Work effectively within a project team, communicating progress and proactively identifying solutions to challenges.
  • Project Management: Manage assigned service lines efficiently to meet project deadlines and deliver high-quality outputs within the specified timeframe.

Qualifications :

  • Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in marketing, content creation, or technical writing, with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse writing samples.
  • Marketing Foundation: Demonstrated understanding of marketing principles and strategies, particularly in how content supports overall marketing objectives.
  • Writing Expertise: Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail and the ability to tailor messaging to specific audiences.
  • Healthcare Background (Highly Preferred): Prior experience working within the healthcare industry, ideally with an understanding of hospital operations, patient journeys, or clinical service lines.
  • Children's Marketing (Highly Preferred): Experience or a strong passion for marketing to families and children, understanding the unique communication needs and sensitivities in this area.
  • User Experience (UX) Acumen: Familiarity with UX principles and a focus on creating content that optimizes the user journey and improves readability/comprehension.
  • Adaptability: Ability to quickly understand complex medical information and translate it into clear, accessible language for the general public.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of collaborating effectively with various stakeholders.
  • Self-Starter: Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
