Job Title: Medical Communications - Scientific Content & US Market Capabilities
Duration: 06 months (Extendable)
Location: Princeton Pike , NJ 08648
Work Environment: Hybrid (50% onsite)
Description:
The primary responsibility of the WW Scientific Content & US Market Capabilities Manager is to execute a comprehensive, globally aligned strategic market medical content plan (medical/access) to support effective data communication and launch preparation for the safe and effective use of Client's cardiovascular medicines across the US market.
Responsibilities:
• Analyze and interpret scientific data to update or develop comprehensive, balanced, credible, and accurate documents that comply with applicable laws, regulations, guidance, and Client policies and procedures, and are used to appropriately communicate with healthcare providers and healthcare decision-makers
• Manage and coordinate development and maintenance of cardiovascular product-related Standard Response Documents (medical information responses) to ensure availability of concise, comprehensive responses to frequently asked questions and enable rapid customer response worldwide
• Develop and update global and local market medical content aligned with the clinical development program, publications, data presentations, congress activities, medical inquiry trends, global communication platforms, product safety reports, and treatment landscape
• Conduct literature searches, medical writing, and data accuracy reviews for medical content on specified cardiovascular assets
• Collaborate closely with the Medical Capabilities Customer Engagement and Contact Center to inform new content deliverables and consult on training/messaging for new scientific data
• Manage and prioritize multiple projects, provide solutions to complex problems, and deliver complete and accurate information within deadlines
• Collaborate across the medical capabilities cross-matrix team to inform the development of cardiovascular content plans addressing local market unmet medical needs
• Assist with communication of the cardiovascular strategy to healthcare providers, payers, access influencers, and healthcare decision-makers
• Develop Medical Contact Center training on disease state, product overviews, and relevant market events to ensure readiness for addressing customer inquiries
• Evaluate and contribute to Medical Information processes for responding to unsolicited inquiries and provide training to internal and external matrix partners (e.g., Field HEOR, MSLs) on appropriate use of these processes
• Contribute to departmental efforts to develop, implement, or improve processes and operations including systems/technology, quality assurance, and policy/procedure writing
• Maintain awareness of current industry practices related to Medical Communications and Access Scientific Content
Education:
Doctor of Pharmacy, MD, PhD, or equivalent
Experience:
2–3 years of experience in medical writing and editing in medical communications, medical education, or medical information, including vendor-side experience
Skills:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Exceptional attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred:
• Experience in the cardiovascular therapeutic area
• Experience responding to unsolicited inquiries from healthcare professionals, including analysis and interpretation of clinical/scientific data tailored to the requestor
• Ability to apply managed care concepts to tailor communication for payor/access audiences
• Understanding of healthcare provider/payor needs and pharmaceutical industry regulations
• Familiarity with management information systems, databases, and digital applications of medical content
