Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Executive to lead and oversee complex construction projects across multiple U.S. locations. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker and relationship builder, capable of guiding teams from project pursuit through execution, ensuring high-quality outcomes while developing strong connections with stakeholders. This role combines leadership, business development, and operational oversight, with a strong focus on delivering excellence in construction practices, safety, and client satisfaction.

Duties and Responsibilities

Business Development

  • Build and nurture strategic relationships with clients, trade partners, architects, and engineers through networking and business engagement.
  • Actively participate in project acquisition and pursuit efforts by supporting the marketing team, preconstruction planning, and strategic positioning.
  • Maintain strong connections with project owners and other external stakeholders.

Project Development

  • Collaborate with legal teams to assess risk and negotiate contracts.
  • Develop a clear vision and operational approach for each project.
  • Lead the creation and execution of strategies that align with project objectives and company goals.

Project Execution

  • Serve as the primary point of contact with architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
  • Assemble high-performing project teams, selecting both internal personnel and trade partners.
  • Promote best practices in Integrated Lean Project Delivery.
  • Prioritize diversity and inclusion in staffing and trade partner selection.
  • Ensure rigorous use of startup planning tools and maintain accurate updates.
  • Monitor team performance and development, holding team members accountable to goals.
  • Establish and drive initiatives that improve project delivery across quality, schedule, safety, cost, and design.

Client Satisfaction & Innovation

  • Maintain continuous alignment with clients on evolving project needs.
  • Deliver results that meet or exceed expectations for budget, schedule, and quality.
  • Identify opportunities to expand service offerings and deliver innovative, client-centered solutions.

Safety

  • Partner with operations and safety leaders to create a proactive safety culture and programs tailored to each project.
  • Actively engage with safety efforts on-site and advocate for innovation in safety practices.

Financial Oversight

  • Lead the development and management of project budgets, estimates, and cost models.
  • Regularly evaluate performance indicators including cash flow, contracting, cost-to-complete, and profitability.
  • Ensure financial alignment with strategic project targets.

Scheduling

  • Oversee the development and maintenance of project milestone schedules.
  • Promote disciplined use of project planning tools and Lean construction systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent technical field; advanced training is preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in construction or related fields, with a demonstrated track record of successful leadership.
  • Proven ability to manage large-scale, complex projects and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications and general project management tools.
