Job Title: Quality Assurance Specialist

Location: Clear Lake, WI

Pay Rate: $27 - 35/hr depending on experience

Why We Need You:

Assures regulatory and quality compliance in our production processes. This role involves reviewing critical records, managing product releases and holds using SAP, and participating in cross-functional teams to maintain high standards of product safety and quality. The ideal candidate will have strong data management skills and a willingness to learn industry-specific systems and certifications.

A Day in the Life | Responsibilities We Trust You With:

  • Review critical records to ensure regulatory and quality compliance, identifying and addressing deviations.
  • Utilize SAP to release products, place products on hold, and manage related documentation.
  • Perform accurate data entry for product holds, deviations, and other quality-related metrics.
  • Collaborate on multiple teams, including:
  • Monthly Audit Team to conduct compliance audits.
  • HACCP/Food Safety Team to support food safety protocols.
  • Formulations Team to ensure product specifications are met.
  • Daily Product Review Team to evaluate product quality and consistency.
  • Maintain and update records using Microsoft Excel, Word, and SAP; familiarity with Microsoft Access is a plus.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing insights from quality data and team activities.

What You Must Know | Education and Experience:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Quality Assurance, Food Science, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 1+ years of experience in quality assurance or a related role, preferably in a regulated industry.
  • Understanding of food regulations
  • Willingness to complete BPCS, HACCP, and PCQI certifications (training provided).

What You Need to Be Good At | Competencies and Skills:

  • Familiarity with SAP or the ability to learn quickly; experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access (preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills for accurate data entry and record-keeping.
  • Confidentiality in regard to confidential information, legal documents, external and internal business/trade secrets
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with cross-functional teams and report findings.
