About the Role:

We're looking for a motivated and hands-on Assistant Manager (AM) to help lead our retail store operations. As a key part of the store leadership team, you'll supervise employees, manage inventory and cash processes, uphold compliance standards, and ensure outstanding customer experience. You'll be the go-to leader on the floor—keeping the store running smoothly while mentoring your team.

Key Responsibilities:

Daily Operations & Leadership

  • Oversee daily retail operations including opening/closing duties
  • Coordinate shift coverage and staff scheduling to ensure proper coverage
  • Provide on-the-spot coaching, support team development, and maintain performance standards
  • Enforce store policies and procedures to uphold compliance and consistency
  • Communicate effectively with store leadership and corporate teams

Customer Service & Experience

  • Maintain a clean, welcoming, and service-driven environment
  • Support customers at every touchpoint—resolving issues promptly and professionally
  • Champion loyalty programs, promotions, and upselling strategies
  • Train staff on service best practices and ensure a strong customer-first culture

Cash & Inventory Management

  • Oversee cash drawer accuracy, petty cash, and EOD reconciliation
  • Support bank pickups, deposits, and vault security processes
  • Manage product receipts, restocking, audits, and vendor returns
  • Conduct inventory adjustments and ensure loss prevention protocols are followed

Visual Merchandising & Technology

  • Ensure all displays, menus, and marketing signage reflect current offerings and promotions
  • Maintain kiosk menus, in-store digital screens, and physical signage
  • Troubleshoot POS, kiosk, or display issues and report technical concerns

Staff Development & Training

  • Mentor new hires and support onboarding processes
  • Assist in delivering ongoing training for policies, compliance, sales techniques, and safety
  • Monitor attendance, performance, and timesheets
  • Support progressive discipline and provide feedback for promotions

Reporting & Compliance

  • Complete EOD and cash reports, labor tracking, and customer complaint logs
  • Report employee conflicts, policy violations, and safety concerns to leadership
  • Stay up to date with compliance training, SOP updates, and store policies

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of retail or supervisory experience
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Previous retail, sales and/or customer service experience
  • We do not require previous professional experience in the cannabis industry but would prefer the applicant be a consumer of the product
  • Flexible availability including weekends, evenings and holidays
  • This position requires the ability to perform essential job functions such as standing, walking, bending, climbing, and lifting up to 50 pounds regularly (up to 200 pounds with assistance), with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Must commit to coming to work sober.
  • Successfully pass a pre-employment criminal background check
  • Minimum 21 years of age

Benefits and Compensation:

  • Pay starts at $21.51/hr
  • Bonus incentives program
  • Employee discount includes 50% off smokable cannabis products
  • Perfect Attendance Incentive Program
  • Health, Dental and Vision insurance
  • Free Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
  • Employee Discount Program offering exclusive discounts from top national retailers
  • Paid Sick Leave (PSL) and Personal Time Off (PTO)
  • Holiday Pay for anyone working New Years Day, 4/20, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day
