Job Overview:

We are seeking NPI Manufacturing Engineers to support New Product Introduction and Development (NPI/NPD) activities for a major client. This high-impact role focuses on scaling up new product builds, optimizing manufacturing processes, and transferring overseas production setups to domestic facilities. The position offers exposure to global manufacturing environments and plays a key role in accelerating product launch timelines.

Contract-to-hire (with benefits)

1st shift | Monday – Friday

Location: West Columbia, SC

Travel Required: Approximately 3 weeks in Ireland (40–60 hour workweeks during travel)

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and support NPI builds, collaborating with cross-functional teams to bring new products from concept to production.

Evaluate and refine manufacturing line layouts, process flows, and tooling to ensure scalability and efficiency for new products.

Participate in design-for-manufacturability (DFM) efforts to influence product design during development stages.

Travel internationally to observe overseas production line setups and replicate optimized processes locally.

Develop and manage Bill of Materials (BOMs), tooling specifications, and production documentation.

Use CAD software to plan layouts and support process engineering initiatives.

Coordinate closely with engineering, quality, and operations teams to meet aggressive product launch timelines.

Support the transition of NPD projects into full production, ensuring quality, cost, and delivery objectives are met.

Manage multiple NPI projects in parallel, maintaining a focus on execution under tight deadlines.

Qualifications:

1–5 years of experience in manufacturing, industrial engineering, or NPI/NPD roles.

Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar).

Strong working knowledge of process development, tooling design, and BOM creation.

Experience supporting or leading new product launches in a manufacturing setting is highly desirable.

Demonstrated ability to work effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.

Willingness and ability to travel internationally for training, setup, and technology transfer.
